César Fernández-de-las-Peñas PT, DO, MSc, PhD, DrMed.Sci is the Head of the Division of the Department of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. He is the Dean of a research group focused on pain sciences. He also has 15 years of clinical experience in private practice in a Pain Clinic focused on manual approaches for the management of chronic pain. His research activities are concentrated on biomedical sciences within neuroscience mainly focused on upper quadrant pain syndromes, particularly head and neck pain conditions. He has published more than 300 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journal and he is first author of approximately 150 of them. He is also the Editor of several textbooks on headache, migraine, manual therapy and dry needling. He has been invited to present at 50 conferences giving lectures around the world.
